Army Command HeadquartersNew Release, Providing an Explanation for the Press Release “Japanese Army History Infused in the Public Art at the New Paratroopers Base in Dasheng West Camp”

According to the press release “Japanese Army History Infused in the Public Art at the New Paratroopers Base in Dasheng West Camp,” the Army Aviation and Special Forces Command said today (28th), the Command has built the Dasheng West Camp as a part of the Pingtung Airport for the training of paratroopers. The public arts expressively show the four themes and concepts of “carry forward the spirits of loyalty, bold, powerful, and tenacious from the paratroopers of ROC,” “symbolize the cradle for the airborne force, the home of the paratroopers,” “display paratrooper force’s military quality of high discipline and sharing one mind,” and “the privileged ones that fight against the wind and soar in the wind”; hoping that the younger generation would learn more about the difficult army-building process and the brilliant paratrooper forcehistory of their paratrooper senior and predecessor.

The Army Aviation and Special Forces Command also said, we respect and appreciates the advice and recommendations from different sectors, and the Command will not adopt any proposals with content that may harm the ethnic harmony regarding the implication of public arts. We would like to clarify and state that, the run-off election will be carried out subsequently according to the plan to highlight the spirits of the paratroopers, exhibiting a brand new image of the airborne training center.
